Author: Heath Andrews

Heath Andrews has been a student of pop culture ever since he found himself to be the only student in 3rd grade who regularly watched "Get Smart" on Nick-At-Nite. Ever since then he's been engrossed in way too much media with a growing collection of music, books, comics, TV on DVD box sets, and a video game collection that could rival a brick and mortar store. Prior to writing for Nerdbot he's written for Review You, MyAnimeList, and various advertising companies.

It’s become all too familiar of a story in the age of streaming media; show gets the greenlight, gets critical acclaim, but not enough viewership to warrant production costs. Unless you were around in the early 90s, it’s hard to forget how big of a deal “Street Fighter II: The World Warrior” was. Sega was clamoring for their own version, as was every other console and handheld at the time. The Capcom franchise is still performing strongly. Enough so the gaming publisher has sold development rights to Legendary Pictures for future film and television projects. This isn’t the first time Legendary has worked with a video game property…

Professional wrestling storylines tend to be filled with crazy twists and turns. Part of the appeal is the absurdity of it all and the feeling of not knowing where the writers will go with things. Dungeons & Dragons has had an interesting history in terms of its reputation and portrayal in media. Often considered to be the bastion of nerds, its also been accused of leading children to evil thanks to various religious groups (*cough* Satantic Panic *cough*). Rare is the time where D&D is showcased as exactly what it is; an in-depth game that encourages storytelling, creative thinking, cooperation, math, and imagination that can sometimes take weeks if not years. All of these things are very important, especially to developing minds. One of the people who recently discovered this is Chris Pine, and he’d…
