Ryan Gosling Transforms for Beavis and Butt-Head “SNL” Sketch

After many decades on the air, “Saturday Night Live” (“SNL“) has developed a reputation for putting celebrity hosts into zany getups. This week was no exception with three-time host Ryan Gosling dressing as Beavis from Mike Judge’s “Beavis and Butt-Head.”

The SNL sketch kicks off with a discussion between an expert on artificial intelligence (Kenan Thompson) and a reporter (Heidi Gardner). As the AI expert starts to answer the reporter’s questions he spots Gosling dressed as Bevis in the audience. When Thompson’s character acknowledges it, Gosling fanes like he has never heard of the animated series. He is moved to another section of the audience so as not to further disrupt the segment.

Only for him to be replaced by Butt-Head (Mikey Day) in a reveal where almost every cast member broke out into laughter. The segment continues with both Day and Gosling saying they don’t know each other and claiming to have never seen “Beavis and Butt-Head.” While the cast tries harder and harder to stifle laughter at their ridiculous outfits. It ends with a nod to yet another animated series, Fox’s “King of The Hill.”

SNL season 49 stars returning cast members Thompson, Gardner, Day, Michael Che, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, James Austin Johnson, Punkie Johnson, Colin Jost, Ego Nwodim, Sarah Sherman, and Bowen Yang. With returning stars Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker. As well as new cast member Chloe Troast.

You can catch new episodes of “Saturday Night Live” every Friday Saturday at 11:30 PM ET on NBC and Peacock. The previous 48 seasons are all currently streaming on Peacock. You can check out the full sketch below:
