Xenomorph, Ripley Revealed in “Dead by Daylight” Trailer

Horror game “Dead by Daylight” is introducing two iconic characters from science fiction cinema. Both the Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley from the “Alien” franchise are joining the roster! The game is known for a wide variety horror icons, while sticking to its own lore. The most recent addition was Nicolas Cage, with a lot of dialogue recorded by himself.

“Dead by Daylight” | Behaviour Interactive

“Dead by Daylight” was made by Behaviour Interactive and operates as a 1 vs 4 game. The killer attempts to track down and attack the survivors, as they hide. Survivors also have a goal of turning on generators while avoiding killers. The killers range from original concepts, all the way to horror icons like Ghostface from “Scream” and “Halloween‘s” Michael Meyers. As the game consistently updates, it will be interesting to see who else they plan on adding.

The trailer is amazing, and actually a little scary. It starts out with Ripley coming out of hyper-sleep following the Nostromo crashing. We even catch a glimpse of Jonesy prowling around the wreckage. As Ripley explores she comes across a body impaled on a “Dead by Daylight” hook. The Xenomorph appears behind her and we get to see a new angle of the iconic “little mouth” scene. Ripley escapes and attempts to dodge the creature as she runs to a “safe” spot. The trailer ends with the Xenomorph jump scaring viewers, my heart is still racing.

Since launching in 2016, the game has over 50 million players globally. The new additions will be available to play on August 29th. Check out the trailer down below.
