Vanna White to Continue Hosting “Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune”

Game show legend Vanna White has signed a new deal with ABC to continue to host “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” with a rumored significant increase in her salary. Unfortunately, there still seems to be no firm decision for White’s role on the flagship “Wheel of Fortune.” And her contract only runs through 2024, so we hope to hear back on that soon.

In June, “Wheel of Fortune” had a major shake-up when host Pat Sajak announced he would be retiring after 40 years of him hosting the program. It has already been decided that Ryan Seacrest will be taking over as host for the 45th season, as well as being a consulting producer. It is assumed that Sajak was replaced so quickly to avoid the kerfuffle that ensured when fellow game show, “Jeopardy!” tried to replace retiring host Alex Trebek.

Even with all of the drastic changes, the series has already been renewed through season 45.

The White hosted spin-off “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” has stars competing to win $1 million dollars in prize money for charity. It is played just like it’s counterpart but with contestants like Sheryl Lee Ralph, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Jack Black, Julie Bowen, Kal Penn, Sasheer Zamata (“Saturday Night Live“), and RuPaul Charles.

Both shows are produced by Sony Pictures Television and distributed by CBS Media Ventures, with Bellamie Blackstone executive producing both series.

We’ll keep you posted on updates about White and “Wheel of Fortune” as they become available.
