NuMetal Band Korn and Adidas FINALLY, Officially, Collaborating

German Sportswear brand Adidas will be collaborating with the numetal band Korn for a new line of shoes and apparel. This is a joint venture most of us have been expecting for decades. Or at least ever since Korn released the song “A.D.I.D.A.S.” in 1997.

While Adidas has provided the band with free products, they didn’t want an official collaboration. Probably because the Korn song played off an old joke that the company’s name is an acronym for “all day I dream about sex.” Competitor Puma stepped in and was willing to make it official in 1998. “We switched to Puma because they told us they’d put us in a commercial and give us a little money to wear their shit,” frontman Jonathan Davis told Kerrang.

Searching for “vintage Korn posters” yields some…fun…results

This Adidas x Korn collaboration was announced by Kicks Finder on Twitter back in February. But was recently confirmed via internal documents acquired by Complex. Though both Adidas and representatives for Korn will not elaborate on the joint project at this time.

The new line is expected to drop sometime in October. Which would make sense given the apparel seems geared towards cooler weather. Even though that target date range could easily change just due to the nature of high-profile sneaker releases.

The new line will consist of Campus 00s (style code IG0792) and Supermodified (IG0793) shoes. Current mockups show both shoes featuring the band’s logo on the right tongue, guitar pick keychains, and art from Korn’s album “Life Is Peachy” on the insoles. The Campus 00s will retail for $130 USD and the Supermodified will go for $140 USD.

There will also be seven pieces of apparel that include two T-shirts (IN9098 and IN9099) for $50 and $60 apiece. A black and white Korn logo hoodie (IN9102) for $120. Along with two different styles of tracksuits. One will be sequined and cost $120 for the pants and $180 for the top. The other tracksuit is black and white running $100 for the top and $80 for the pants. Fitting since we all know singer Jonathan Davis loves a good tracksuit.

Please keep in mind that none of these are official photos of the final product and may change between now and their release.

This Adidas collaboration will only expand on the band’s recent merchandising efforts. Which already include makeup, hot sauces, and pet products. We’re not saying they are becoming the nu-metal version of Kiss. But we’re not, not saying that either. Check out the NSFW song that made this all possible below:
