if you haven’t watched “Yellowjackets” yet, you’re missing one of the best new shows on television. It’s full of mystery, a puzzle cube that is slowly being revealed to the audience. SHOWTIME has now green lit a third season before the season 2 premiere in March 2023.

The first season was full of set up. We’re hoping season 2 will help to fill some of the plot holes they left for us to mull over. Season 2 also has some pretty great talent lined up, like Elijah Wood, who will play a detective. Lottie and Van are going to be shown all grown up. We weren’t sure what happened to the characters previously, or if they even survived living in the woods after the crash.

“With ‘Yellowjackets’’ runaway success in season 1 and the pent-up anticipation for season 2, we wanted to maximize the momentum by fast tracking season 3 now,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and Paramount Media Networks. “The show’s ambition is only exceeded by its execution, and I thank the incredible creative team behind it, including Ashley, Bart, Jonathan, eOne and the Showtime team, for turning this into such a success.”

“Yellowjackets” was nominated for best drama series, lead drama actress, supporting drama actress, drama directing, drama casting, and two for drama writing. If you’re still unsure about it, you can read our full review here.

“Yellowjackets” season 2 will premiere March 24th 2023 for streaming and on-demand SHOWTIME subscribers. Television watchers will have to wait until March 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
