Humans have always been fascinated by cryptids. Now, even more so with the rise of the internet and meme culture. The creature comedy Bad Day For Bigfoot has just cast Chris Elliott (Scary Movie) and Michael Ian Black (Reno 911)! Alongside Sara Tomko (Resident Alien), Oliver Cooper (Project X), and James Duval (Donnie Darko).
It is co-written and directed by Zach Green and Devin O’Rourke, the same duo behind the comedy Foil.

It follows a hoax that goes horribly awry when it’s unknowingly set up in the middle of a real Sasquatch hot spot. Leading to clashes between the would-be hoaxers, investigators, and a supernatural force that defies explanation.
Bad Day For Bigfoot also stars Ashley Rae Spillers (Vice Principals), Brian McGuire (Foil), and newcomer Kyle D. King.
“I have always been drawn to cryptids and monster lore, and the over-the-top sincerity of 80s and 90s protagonists,” Green told Deadline. “Bad Day for Bigfoot is a love letter to those creature-filled adventure comedies. I couldn’t be more proud of the cast and crew we’ve assembled, and for the support and enthusiasm from the people of La Grande [Oregon]. It was their gumption that proved to us that making this thing was very possible, and that what’s lurking in those woods may be very real indeed…”
We’ll keep you posted on updates about Bad Day For Bigfoot as the project develops.
