Upcoming Oasis Documentary Shows Moment of Gallagher Brothers Reunion

Rock stars and egos go hand in hand. The history of popular music is filled with feuds, arguments, fights, and squabbles. It’s hard to find bands that haven’t had some sort of major argument that threatened to, or did, break them up. That tension can get even worse when family is involved. If you need an example, look no further than Noel and Liam Gallagher. The two brothers are the bedrock of the band Oasis and have famously had a very contentious relationship. They managed to patch things up for a 2025 world tour. A documentary about that tour also captures the moment the two got into a room together for the first time in years.

The animosity between the Gallagher brothers is legendary. Both of them have historically shown little issue with speaking their minds. That’s a gentle way of putting that too. Despite this, they somehow managed to put out eight studio albums together. They helped define the “Britpop” sound of the early to mid ’90s as well. Compared to other artists who wouldn’t really make waves if they reunited, Oasis actually would make headlines. And they did. Their 2025 reunion tour did big numbers. Though there was a prevailing fear over whether or not they would actually make it through the tour without Noel and Liam feuding.

    Reuniting The Gallagher Brothers

The documentary about the reunion, Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, is directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern. It showcases the moment that Noel and Liam got back in the same room together. It also gives some insight into the “workmanlike” relationship that helped the tour succeed without a breakdown. Southern stated, “It’s the Gallaghers, it’s not ‘Dawson’s Creek.’ They’re not gonna sit down and talk about their emotions.” He continues, “It was very workmanlike. There was no kind of messing around. As soon as Liam arrived, it’s like, ‘Right, are we doing this?’ And they were just going through the whole set.”

Kind of anti-climactic in a way. No fighting, no tears, just working on music. It does make sense in a way, though. Sometimes brothers can just pick up where things left off without any discussion. It seems like that’s exactly what happened with Noel and Liam. Does that mean more Oasis material or tours are in the future? No idea yet. But it would be hard to turn down another boatload of money. The stress of a world tour is daunting, however, so it’s a cost vs. benefit analysis there. For the rest of the world, though, we can at least watch the documentary Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger. It’ll be hitting theaters on September 11th, 2026.
