    KFC Introduces Fried Chicken Tamagotchi

The marketing machine for fast food companies is a sometimes marvelous thing. We thought KFC peaked in 2019 when they released their dating sim game, “I Love You, Colonel Sanders.” Who wouldn’t want to play a visual novel type adventure where you get to interact with a hunkified version of the restaurant founder? How can it get any better than this?

Well, here we are in 2024 and it turns out it CAN get better, in the form of a KFC virtual pet.

    Eduardochi, KFC

Do you remember virtual pets? They were a thing for a while, namely the Tamagotchi. It was a little critter on a key chain that you could play with and even clean up its digital poop. Also if you didn’t take care of it enough and tend to it, it would die. It was the ’90s and it was a simpler time. There were spin-offs too, Digimon was one with a battle based spin to it. There was also a “Star Wars” Yoda one and the Pokémon Pikachu unit.

    Eduardochi – KFC

Anyway, KFC has taken its own spin on this with Eduardochi. It’s available in Spain for 3.99 euros, and is shaped like a piece of chicken. Not only that, but if the video trailer is any indication of what to expect, you have to take care of a sentient piece of fried chicken that also poops. What else can it do? No idea, haven’t played it, I’m not in Spain. Maybe it can evolve into other types of chicken just like Tamagotchi. Maybe it just poops and gets more chicken, just like real people who eat KFC.

    Eduardochi – KFC

It would be nice to see if this could come state-side, especially since you can’t walk down the street without hearing someone clamoring for the return of Tamagotchi in fried chicken form. KFC has an obligation, nay, a responsibility to bring this digital pet to the world. Let’s make it happen KFC. If it’s indeed finger lickin’ good, then the world’s fingers deserved to be licked. Here’s hoping!
