You know. Kids these days have it so good. They can buy toys for anything. If they’ve got a favorite cartoon, you know there’s gonna be a toy. But what about us adults? Where’s our “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Ongo Gablogian doll? What about “The Big Lebowski” miniature bowling game in the shape of The Dude’s head? Wait. SOMEONE MAKES THOSE? That’s right! Artist Debonair Heads makes custom dolls and toys of actors and famous movies from yesteryear. And they’re pretty dang fun. Like this one based on the great Danny Trejo, complete with a combination machete comb.
Everything down to the packaging is amazing. “His beautiful dark hair glistens and smells just like tacos!” it boasts. There are pictures of the process of making the doll as well. Including hand-punching the hair and the tattoos onto the soft body. According to Debonair Heads, “Desperado” was one of their favorite movies as a kid. So making a Trejo doll was an absolute must! If you’re wanting something of your own, you’re in luck! Debonair Heads takes commissions on their Instagram. They also stated they occasionally open a shop to sell off older designs.

The novelty of their work is hilarious and brings big smiles to our faces. They have several “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Frank dolls. Including Couch Frank and the aforementioned Ongo Gablogian. Their converted playsets are also fantastic. Like a “Hocus Pocus” playset that’s obviously been converted from a Polly Pocket. And a “Die Hard” playset that unfolds into Nakatomi Plaza.
Their fantastic novelties and we love that there are creative people out there making such silly and creative toys. Keep doing what you do, Debonair Heads. You’re awesome!
