DC Comics is going to honor comic book legend George Peréz ahead of his 68th birthday with a special two-page spread. Some of his most iconic characters will be drawn by other comic book artists and friends of Peréz. Some of these names you will recognize right away such as Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, and many others.
Peréz was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer and shared his health status publicly in a post on social media. Since then, there have been many ways that fan have been reaching out to him, such as sending him videos or tagging him in posts. Peréz is a mainstay and highlight within the comic convention scene, and those who have had special moments with him have been able to share them.
The upcoming artwork which will be featured in all of DC Comics’ June periodical releases will feature this amazing creation with a layout designed by Dan Jurgens.
