We’re really hoping that 2020 comes to an ends at some point, for a multitude of reasons. So many things we’d been looking forward to this year have been delayed, or scrapped entirely, and all we wanted was to get our Cyberpunk on. We are of course completely in agreement with delaying any/all releases and media coverage to make sure that the current Black Lives Matter civil [human] rights movement gets the full attention it needs and deserves.
CD Projekt Red has once again delayed the release of their upcoming highly anticipated title, Cyberpunk 2077, to November of 2020. (Which honestly is only a month delay, so we’re not sure why everyone is treating this in such an alarmist state.)
In a statement posted to their official Twitter, they explain:
Also you’ll see there a mention of the Night City Wire event on June 25th, where journalists from all over the world will have their embargo dropped for the title.
We’re hoping the wait is worth it for Cyberpunk 2077, and that this will indeed be a game that’ll hold us over til we can get to the neon cyber desert of Neotropolis in 2021.
