Resident Evil is one of the most beloved horror/video game franchises out there. It’s given us numerous games and movies and to this day we can still put them on and have a blast. The stories are always pretty intense and creepy. In 2014 there was an announcement that there would be a “TV Show”. But now thanks to Redanian Intelligence via RelyonHorror we know that the series is finally due to start production this June.

Redanian cited a production list which showed that the series would be filming in South Africa. According to the schedule the filming should conclude in October which would mean that release for the show could come early-mid next year. The Netflix series will be 8 one hour long episodes to begin with.

According to Deadline the new show will “explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-Virus”.

So far there is no cast attached but we should hear soon who they decide on and what roles they will play in the Resident Evil universe.
