Another day, another slew of headlines from ‘outlets’ that make zero sense. DC Studios co-head James Gunn seems to be a constant source of ire, no matter what he does. Certain websites made claims over the weekend that Gunn’s deactivated Facebook account was due to “controversial comments made about Batman.”No really- that’s what some places are claiming. Leave it to Gunn himself to clear things up. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Labor Day.

Hi Barbie! No matter where you turn, a collection of Barbies (and Kens!) is everywhere at Dragon Con 2023. We were kind of expecting this, considering how well received the billion-dollar film has been. The annual convention which takes place over Labor Day in Atlanta, Georgia is often THE place to see the most creative cosplays around. This year was no different! But we’re here to talk Barbie. Large group photoshoots are one of the big draws, and the Barbieland gathering was pretty impressive. In this video from our own Bill Watters, you can see just how popular pink cosplay is this…
It’s been a tick since we’ve heard anything about…well…anything. With the ongoing WGA, SAG-AFTRA strike against the AMPTP, things have been markedly quiet round ol’ Tinseltown. There are in fact several projects that are in some level of development, but for the most part, big studio releases are dark. Which is why this update about Chad Stahelski’s “Highlander” film has us pretty excited. That, and we kind of freaking love “Highlander.” We know Henry Cavill will star in the flick, but what hasn’t been known for sure is what the plot will be. A straight remake of the Christopher Lambert,…
We are very sorry to share the news that Arleen Sorkin, actress who inspired and voiced “Batman: The Animated Series” fan-favorite character Harley Quinn, has reportedly passed away. This news was posted by voice actor Neil Kaplan, who says the sad news was confirmed by a source who’d rather remain anonymous. Sorkin’s performance on an episode of “Days of Our Lives” is actually what inspired Paul Dini (and Bruce Timm) to create the Harley Quinn character. Watching the scene in question leaves little doubt as to Sorkin’s presence and jester abilities. The 22nd episode, “Joker’s Favor,” marked Harley’s debut in “Batman:…
We are very sad to report the passing of a TV icon. The legendary gameshow host and personality Bob Barker has passed away. Perhaps best known as the host of the original “The Price is Right,” Barker was a mainstay of gameshows. He also of course made numerous appearances in TV and film, including Adam Sandler’s golf comedy, “Happy Gilmore.”“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker has left us,” publicist Roger Neal said in a statement.Barker was 99.
Tony Gilroy, creator and showrunner for “Star Wars” offshoot series “Andor” had some things to say today. While on the WGA, SAG-AFTRA picket line in New York City today, Gilroy touched on his own personal connections to the guild. He’s second-generation, for starters. He’s been a member for 35 years and counting. Yes, production on “Andor” season 2 didn’t immediately stop when the strike was called, but it was shortly thereafter. Gilroy says the WGA is “older and it’s wiser, but its also younger and more passionate,” and faster on its feet, compared to the last strike in 2007-2008. “We…
This just in-as we predicted, Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming “Dune: Part Two” has been delayed. Originally slated to hit theaters November 3rd 2023, the studio claims the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes prompted a shift to March 15th, 2024. It’s worth noting rumblings of a delay have been happening since well before the strikes began. Denis Villeneuve returns to direct the sequel to “Dune.” We now know he’s planning- if “Part Two” is successful at the box office- a third film in the world of Frank Herbert‘s seminal work of science fiction. “Dune Part Two” features returning “Dune” stars Timothée Chalamet (“Wonka,” “Call Me…
