Following yesterday’s discovery that MAX, streaming service arm of Warner Bros. Discovery, had somehow “accidentally” removed “Watchmen,” additional news about things with a DC Comics angle has come to light. Apparently, a new deal has been struck between WBD and Tubi for the streaming rights to the majority of those DC properties. We’d pointed out yesterday that ALL the “Superman” films were no longer on MAX, and pointed out other titles like “The Batman” had new streaming homes (like Netflix). Turns out, a slew of big films and shows have already made the move to Tubi, with more coming in…

Looks like MAX is starting to clear house, again. This time, it’s Damon Lindeloff’s highly lauded “Watchmen” series. Normally, the streaming service does some kind of press warning of titles leaving soon, but there was no prior mention of it leaving the platform. If you missed out seeing “Watchmen” when…
This just in-we knew Netflix was planning a live-action adaptation of the VERY popular anime and manga series, “My Hero Academia.” We also knew it was going to be a film, rather than a straight series redo. Well, according to “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” producer Joby Harold, things are moving ahead, with production possibly ALREADY underway! When asked if the project, which Harold is listed as a writer on, was still happening, he responded with a very clear “Yes, it is. Absolutely. It is something I’m working on and loving working on. I’m excited to do it and get it…
Ah yes, awards season. This morning, the Golden Globes announced their 2024 crop of nominees from the best in television and film. Surprising no one, “Barbie” and “Succession” pretty much swept every category they were up for. The billion-dollar Greta Gerwig-helmed film actually tied an old record for the most nominations by a film with 9, which was previously set by Bob Fossé’s “Cabaret” in 1972. The ceremony will take place January 7th, and air on it’s new home, CBS. They still don’t have a host, though. Literally everyone in town has turned the gig down. In anycase, here are the…
Back in 1986, fast food giant McDonald’s introduced a new character to their fans. Cosmc, the alien. While not as popular or enduring as the Hamburglar or Grimace, Cosmc certainly made an impact. Enough so that the chain is giving him his own offshoot restaurant. “What would happen if a McDonald’s character from the 1980s that was part alien, part surfer, part robot — what would happen if this character were to open a restaurant in 2023?” CEO Chris Kempczinski asked. Well, we’re about to find out.McDonald’s opened the first of several planned locations this past weekend in Bolingbrook, IL. The menu…

This just in- According to several reports, cameras will officially start rolling on the 5th and final season of Netflix’s hit series, “Stranger Things.” Some additional sources indicate the main cast is already in Atlanta, possibly doing all the pre-prep work that comes with a show. Costumes, table reads, rehearsals, you know, STUFF. Word came back in February of 2022 that season 5 would the show’s last. Matt and Ross Duffer, aka The Duffer Brothers, who created and showrun the series, addressed the ending themselves in a typed letter. They said they had always planned the arc of the show…
