It can’t be easy to see a property you were involved in get a reboot. Especially one with a fan following like the “Percy Jackson” novels (and films, now tv series) by Rick Riordion. Original “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” star Logan Lerman had some very nice words for the cast of Disney+’s new series, and in particular, new Percy actor Walker Scobell. Scobell was joined by fellow castmates Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, and Riordion during a visit to Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. While discussing the series, which hit the House of Mouse’s streaming…

Okay so….we were kinda hoping we’d heard the last of “I’m Just Ken” this year. Yes, billion-dollar “Barbie” has been leading every single awards show nominations, which probably means lots of Oscar attention. So we’re pretty sure this little tune is here to stay. But…it’s been nice? To not hear it every single day this last month? To shake things up, Ken himself Ryan Gosling has released 4 brand new versions of the ballad. “I’m Just Ken (Merry Kristmas Barbie),” “I’m Just Ken (In My Feelings Acoustic),” I’m Just Ken (Purple Disco Machine Remix),” and the original, “I’m Just Ken.” You can…
This just in-the Vampires of Staten Island will return for a 6th and final season. “What We Do In The Shadows” has been one of our favorite irreverent comedies of the last several years, and we’re very happy to have had all the episodes we’ve gotten. Yes, an ending it sad, but, theoretically, they’ll [theoretically] get to have the ending THEY want. Vulture first reported the news.
Ah, the prequels. No need to tell you what we mean when we say that, right? You KNOW we mean “Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace,” and the two films that followed. What if we told you one of the stars from Kurt Sutter’s “Sons of Anarchy” series was ALMOST a very important part of those prequels? Charlie Hunnam, who most of us first met in “Queer as Folk,” but later went on to star in “Pacific Rim” and “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” apparently was in the running to play Anakin Skywalker in “Attack of the Clones”…

According to several sources close to the company, Marvel Studios has officially parted ways with actor Jonathan Majors, who played character Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This news comes hours after a jury found Majors guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault. The character of Kang was expected to usher in the next phase for the various franchises in the 5th “Avengers” film, until various legal issues came to light. Following a writers’ shakeup, the film, which had been titled “Avengers: Kang Dynasty,” will now be called “Avengers 5.” Majors will be sentenced on February 6th, 2024. He faces…
We’re…really not sure how to feel about this. Chris Carter’s “The X-Files” series remains one of our absolute favorites, as long as we pretend that last ‘season’ never happened. Turns out, “Black Panther” writer/director Ryan Coogler is also a fan, and is interested in making his own version. This isn’t the first time such a thing has been discussed, but, this IS the most direct confirmation of the project still in some sort of production. In a piece from Bloomberg this morning, the lede is buried: “Disney, which birthed the idea of ‘cinematic universes,’ is developing a new version of ‘X-Files’ that…
Several years after the untimely end of the BRILLIANT animated series “Gravity Falls,” the saga of one Bill Cypher isn’t over. At least not completely. Series creator (and one of the lead voice actors) Alex Hirsch is no stranger to giving fan’s clues. If there’s one thing we really like round these parts, it’s well-done fanfilms. Our own sister company Nerdbot Productions has SEVERAL projects, that encompass multiple fandoms. But this one, which we have no connection to at all, captured our interest. “Sands of Fate | A Star Wars Story” is a not-for-profit short film produced by Escape Velocity Content, LLC.. It follows the story of Tiro, an ex-imperial commando surviving as a recluse, disappearing within the backwater port of Anchorhead until the day he is challenged to resurrect the warrior within. “It is a heartfelt testament to the love of the…
This just in- A24 has announced a very special partnership with acclaimed creator, Hideo Kojima. The studio has partnered with Kojima to adapt his video game “DEATH STRANDING” as a feature film. “The film promises to delve into the mysteries surrounding the apocalyptic event called the ‘Death Stranding,’ which blurred the lines between life and death, and brought forth nightmarish creatures into a world on the brink of collapse,” an early synopsis reads. There really isn’t anything else to the news yet; no mention if we’ll be seeing the same cast return for the film. “DEATH STRANDING” had Norman Reedus, Mads…
