February 29th marks a very special birthday in the world of comics. Specifically, it’s the birthday of DC Comics’ Kal El, aka Superman. Hard to believe “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” will be celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year. Both because the show feels timeless, and also because it seems like only yesterday we were introduced to detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler. Of course it’s just one of many entries into Dick Wolf’s DUM-DUM universe, but it has remained one of audience’s favorites. We’ll admit it, we were actually kind of looking forward to this upcoming remake of “The Crow.” Mostly because Bill Skarsgård is playing the lead, and he’s always an interesting one to watch. We are very sorry to share the news that Richard Lewis has passed away. In April of 2023, Lewis revealed he had been living with Parkinson’s disease. Lewis’s publicist Jeff Abraham confirmed the news of his passing. “His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time,” Abraham said.Lewis cut his teeth in New York in the 1970s, making a name for himself in comedy clubs and live shows. He made numerous appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” maybe not becoming a household name, but getting pretty close.…

This just in-it looks like one of the big possible mergers in Hollywood isn’t happening. This is mostly a good thing, especially considering how things at Warner Bros. “Star Trek: Discovery,” the sixth series in the franchise, is coming to an end with season 5. Now usually, this is cause for alarm, because it would mean we’d be without a current Trek series on the airwaves. But that isn’t the case, as we’ve still got “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” “Lower Decks,” and an upcoming season of “Prodigy.” That’s not to say we won’t miss DISCO, but at least they’re getting to finish the story the way they want.
