Tonight, ABC network is airing Marvel Studios film “Black Panther” without commercial interruption to honor the sudden passing of star Chadwick Boseman. Along with this theatrical presentation, the company also released a tribute video ahead of the airing. The tribute video was also released across social media. Rest in power.

We’re still in a state of disbelief and shock after last night’s heartbreaking news about the passing of “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman. We are so heartbroken to report that Chadwick Boseman, star of Marvel Studios “Black Panther,” has lost his battle with colon cancer. This has come as an understandable shock, as the actor had kept his diagnosis (and subsequent treatment) a secret for many years. His family released a statement, saying: “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
