This just in-after half a decade, we’re FINALLY gonna get a show about “Green Lantern” and the Lantern Corps! It’ll be an 8-episode series, with Chris Mundy (“Ozark,” “True Detective: Night Country”) serving as showrunner. It’s kind of amazing how table-top gaming has become such a huge, popular thing. Sure, we all remember the days of Dungeons & Dragons players getting teased for being nerds or whatever reason. But it seems like you can’t roll a d20 these days without finding fellow players and enthusiasts. Which is what brings us to today’s cool Kickstarter you should know about- ProgCore Fantasy: Dark Age of Theer. This is NOT just your typical RPG. Described as a “sprawling multimedia fantasy experience,” ProgCore aims to create a full experience with it’s own soundtrack, animated short, and so much more.…
It’s one of the GREATEST FILMS EVER MADE that caused generations of viewers to be afraid of the ocean. Steven Spielberg’s classic “Jaws,” based on the Peter Benchley novel of the same name, has one Carcharodon carcharias-sized anniversary coming up. 2025 marks the 50th anniversary for the film, released June 20th 1975.Because of this monumental occasion, a brand new documentary about the film is on the way. Nat Geo has reportedly greenlit “Jaws @ 50,” which will be directed by Nedland Media’s Laurent Bouzereau. It will include footage and photography from the Benchley and Spielberg archives, as well as all-new…
This just in- the LONG rumored and much anticipated sequel to 2003’s “Freaky Friday” is actually finally happening. Cameras are actually rolling on “Freaky Friday 2,” which reunites Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan! In a post from both the Walt Disney official Instagram account AND Curtis, we’ve got confirmation that filming has officially begun! We’ll next see Curtis in Eli Roth’s “Borderlands,” which is due out in August. Obviously there isn’t a lot of additional information, but we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
We are VERY excited to share the official teaser trailer for Robert Eggers’ (“The VVitch,” “The Lighthouse”) upcoming film “Nosferatu.” This is one of those highly anticipated releases we’ve been dying to see footage from. This is a remake of F. W. Murnau’s 1922 horror classic, which was then remade by Werner Herzog in 1979 as “Nosferatu the Vampyre.” Eggars’ version stars Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Lily-Rose Depp as his wife Ellen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Friedrich Harding, Emma Corrin (“The Crown“) as Ann Harding, Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz, Simon McBurney as Herr Knock, and Ralph Ineson as Dr. Wilhelm Sievers. Bill Skarsgård will portray the vampire, Count Orlok, a role previously…
While X (formerly Twitter) is showing the spectrum of “Star Wars” fandom these days, we can all agree that “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is awesome, right? Not only did it introduce incredible new characters, but it gave more meaning and weight to the story we know and love in “Episode IV: A New Hope” and beyond. When Disney+ first announced plans for a prequel series set before Gareth Edwards’ stellar film, we were excited. More Diego Luna as Cassian Andor? Yes, please. The possibly of additional characters from “Rogue One” returning too? Hell yes. Here we are, anxiously…
We are really sad about this news. One of the last few historic studios actually located in the heart of Los Angeles will soon be hitting the market. The Chaplin Studios complex, which was purchased by The Jim Henson Company in 1999, is going up for sale. The reason given for the sale is “as part of a much longer-term strategy to have The Jim Henson Company and our renowned Burbank-based Jim Henson’s Creature Shop under one roof, which is not feasible in Hollywood due to the space the Shop requires.” The Creature Shop resides in Burbank, which isn’t exactly…

A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
While we weren’t shocked to love Matt Reeves‘ “The Batman,” we were delighted to see Colin Farrell get such a celebrated turn as notorous Rogue’s Gallery member, The Penguin. This version was certainly more grounded than Tim Burton‘s version played by Danny DiVito (which we love without a single measure of irony). The 8-episode series stars Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau, Theo Rossi, and David H. Holmes. Reeves’ is an executive producer, Lauren LeFranc wrote the project, and is acting as showrunner.”The Penguin” hits MAX sometime this September. Check out the teaser now:
