Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We cannot get over how wonderfully adorable The Great Ones Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are in these newly unearthed audition tapes for the roles of William Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan in “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” We’re so so glad The Daily Mail managed to track down these tapes, dated 1986. Dane Cook, comedian, actor, fan- has organized a live read that’ll no doubt have fans of “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” excited. Announced just this morning, Cook has brought together Sean Penn, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding, and ShiaLaBeouf to take part in a live event to benefit. There will even be a special introduction from the film’s director by Amy Heckerling and writter by Cameron Crowe. This just in- amid WarnerMedia’s HUGE restructuring, more possible news that parent company AT&T is looking to unload parts of the media empire that aren’t quite cutting it under their business model.A report from The Information states that AT&T is courting Sony to possibly purchase CrunchyRoll for upwards of $1.5 billion. The outlet says three people close to the situation have confirmed this to them. They also say that Sony reportedly “balked at” the $1.5 billion price for the anime streaming service.  At present, there has been no statements from any of the companies involved.
