We REALLY don’t want to come across as mean, but, the official teaser for the next chapter in the “Hellboy” film saga is here. And….it looks like a fanfilm? Thats not to say it’s BAD, but, it has a rather home-grown feel we’re not sure works with this particular franchise. Brian Taylor directs from a script by “Hellboy” creator Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden. It stars Jack Kesy as Big Red himself, Jefferson White (Yellowstone) as Tom Ferrel, Leah McNamara as Effie Kolb, Joseph Marcell as Reverend Watts, Hannah Margetson as Cora Fisher, and Martin Bassindale as the Crooked Man. It…

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED by the idea of Ridley Scott directing a sequel to “Gladiator?” We sure are, but also still kinda scratching our heads. The original film is perfection- it’s perhaps Scott’s most perfect film. (That’s not to say that “Alien” and “Blade Runner” aren’t the pinnacle of filmmaking, and genre-defining at that. But “Gladiator” is something more….crowd-pleasing from the get-go.) That’s what brings us to this slew of first-look photos of the upcoming epic “Gladiator II,” from photographer Aidan Monaghan for Paramount Pictures. In a special spread from Vanity Fair, we get our first glimpse at Pedro Pascal…
While promoting his next great American Western film, Kevin Costner has embarked on quite a press tour. Costner will not be returning to hit television series “Yellowstone,” but his “Horizon: An American Saga” film is currently in theaters.Apparently as part of the tour, Costner has been sampling his favorite treat across various cities. Namely, banana milkshakes. Don’t get us wrong, we too deeply love these creamy treats. But it just seems like a weird flex, ya know? You can watch the video here. “Horizon: An American Saga” is currently in theaters now. Costner stars alongside Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena…
A brand new teaser for the upcoming Marvel Studios film “Deadpool & Wolverine” hit this morning. And with it, the return of character Sabertooth! “Deadpool & Wolverine” is under the direction of Shawn Levy, who worked with Reynolds on “The Adam Project” and “Free Guy.” Levy also worked with co-star Hugh Jackman on “Real Steel.” Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the scripts for the first and second films, are back this time, too.We know Emma Corrin (“The Crown“) and Matthew Macfayden (“Succession“) have joined the cast. As well as legacy cast Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and Channing Tatum as Gambit appearing. Previous “Deadpool” co-stars Rob Delany as Peter, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan…
This just in-Warner Bros. Pictures has reportedly dated an upcoming film from director Denis Villeneuve. Being touted as “an event film,” there is every possibility this could be the third “Dune” film. It’s been well-known Villeneuve wants to complete his vision of the seminal work of science fiction, originally written by Frank Herbert. Films “Dune: Part One” and “Dune: Part Two” were extremely well received by audiences and critics alike. There is a chance this is Villeneuve’s nuclear war movie. Warner Bros. Pictures has given a December 18th, 2026. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other…
Today, Vought Studios (“The Boys”) held a press conference to announce the future for the Prime Video universe. Turns out, there is a LOT of content on the way! Spinoffs featuring fan-favorite characters and more. Check out the announcements as they roll in from Discussing Film: ‘HOMELANDER: JUSTICE SERVED’ is in the works. Members of The Seven have reportedly read early drafts, with Firecracker “shedding tears of American pride.” Ryan is expected to shadow his father on set with an eye towards his own future franchise. ‘A-TRAIN: INTO THE MULTIVERSE is in development. Vought Studios described it as “a landmark…
We kinda were thinking that maybe, just maybe, HBO MAX’s planned “Harry Potter” spinoff series wasn’t going to happen for….obvious reasons. But, because David Zaslav continues to make absolutely baffling choices, they ARE indeed moving forward with it. Francesca Gardiner (“Succession,” “His Dark Materials”) will act as showrunner, on whatever the hell this show will be. Mark Mylod (“The Menu,” “Succession”) will reportedly direct ‘a number’ of episodes. No one really has any idea what the plot of this show may be, or what characters from that universe we may see. We do know this and other projects currently being…
The on-again-off-again saved-by-Prime Video series “Batman: Caped Crusader” finally has an official trailer! If you’ll recall, this 1940s take on Batman was originally announced in 2021 during DC Fandome, but was ultimately axed by HBO after several starts and stalls. Prime Video eventually swooped in and saved it, which brings us to today’s official trailer drop for the animated seres. The cast is pretty great, too. Hamish Linklater voices Batman, Christina Ricci voices Catwoman, and Jamie Chung voices Harley Quinn. They’ll be joined by Minnie Driver, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, Krystal Joy Brown, John DiMaggio, Mckenna Grace, Jason Watkins, Paul Scheer, Reid Scott, Gary Anthony Williams, Dan Donohue, David…
Okay, I’m late to the party on reporting about this particular adaptation. MGM+ is developing a tv series based on George R. Stewart’s classic science fiction (post-apocalyptic) novel, “Earth Abides.” Not only that, but Alexander Ludwig (“Vikings,” “Heels”) will star as Isherwood “Ish” Williams! When a plague of unprecedented virulence sweeps the globe, the human race is all but wiped out. In the aftermath, as the great machine of civilization slowly and inexorably breaks down, only a few shattered survivors remain to struggle against the slide into extinction.Ludwig will be joined by series co-star Jessica Frances Dukes as Em, as…
This just in-after half a decade, we’re FINALLY gonna get a show about “Green Lantern” and the Lantern Corps! It’ll be an 8-episode series, with Chris Mundy (“Ozark,” “True Detective: Night Country”) serving as showrunner. The focus for “Lanterns” will be on DC Comics characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart, two of the longest-running to carry the mantle of Green Lantern. Mundy will co-write the series along with Damon Lindelof (“Watchmen,” “Lost”) and Eisner Award winner Tom King.“We’re thrilled to bring this seminal DC title to HBO with Chris, Damon and Tom at the helm,” DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and…
