Author: Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We understand when an actor has trouble recalling the intricate details of a part they played over 20 years ago, we really do. As the actress told ComingSoon: “Wait a minute, who did I play? Was I not Padme? I was Sabe, ok. I think I was 12 when I did it, and it came out and I saw it the year…

The Denver Broncos filled their Empire Field at Mile High with cardboard cutouts of “South Park” characters during their Sunday game. This was kind of a brilliant thing to do.As you may have noticed, in-person large scale events are still a really bad idea- until the public can actually follow mask guidelines and social distancing practices- so several sporting teams have found creative ways to include fans likenesses as cardboard cutouts in the stands. But the Broncos took it a step further by featuring all the citizens of South Park, Colorado. As you can see in the gallery from the…
