Comic Con International, parent company of the world famous annual San Diego Comic Con, have just publicly announced the 2021 in-person event will not happen. We sorta figured this was likely to be the case, as the worldwide pandemic that caused a national shutdown roughly a year ago has still not reached an end. Following with last year’s “Comic Con At Home,” the industry standard event will once again go virtual. A three-day event of programming will take place July 23rd-25th, 2021. The November event as mentioned in SDCC’s statement is, at present, a mystery. We’ll keep you updated.

Hopefully by now you’ve seen the most recent episode of Disney+ series “WandaVision,” because this new Funko Pop Vinyl pre-order is VERY spoilery if not. Pretty much as soon as Sam Raimi was announced as taking over the reigns on Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Doctor Strange 2,” we were all expecting a possible Bruce Campbell cameo. Netflix sure has some interesting titles coming in the future, especially their upcoming anime slate. With animated series like “The Witcher,” “Pacific Rim,” and “Blade Runner,” the newest title to join the group fits right in. We are so so pleased to report that Lady Gaga’s two stolen French Bullbogs Koji and Gustav have been returned to the star, safe and sound. Perhaps you’ll recall the terrifying news that Gaga’s dogwalker Ryan Fischer had been shot while walking three of the pop star’s French Bulldogs in Hollywood just yesterday.Fischer was reported to be expected to make a full recovery, but Koji and Gustav were both stolen by the shooter. We are pretty darn excited to hear that at long last, a sequel to Neill Blomkamp’s iconic “District 9” is coming! The gritty docu-take on an alien invasion flick came out of nowhere in 2009, and remains a touchstone of the modern genre film. In a Tweet, Blomkamp confirmed that he and co-writer Terri Tatchell. He also said that “District 9” star Sharlto Copley is writing the sequel script as well. This just in- sounds like Ta-Nehisi Coates will be writing a brand-new take on “Superman” for Warner Bros. Pictures with JJ Abrams and Bad Robot producing. “To be invited into the DC Extended Universe by Warner Bros., DC Films and Bad Robot is an honor,” said Coates in a statement to website Shadow and Act. “I look forward to meaningfully adding to the legacy of America’s most iconic mythic hero.” We will keep you updated on what we hear about this breaking story.
