Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We’re still kind of miffed that Warner Bros. Pictures decided to push “Mortal Kombat” back. True, it’s only a week, so that isn’t too bad. But every time we see a new trailer, image, or featurette for the R-rated reboot, we want it NOW. This newest special behind-the-scenes look at the film introduces us to each of the warriors we’ll meet. Simon McQuiod directs from a screenplay by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham, based on the videogame created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. Starring Lewis Tan (“Deadpool 2,” Netflix’s “Wu Assassins”) as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee (“The Meg”) as…

We are really looking forward to Disney+’s next live-action Marvel Studios show, “Loki.” Aside from the character’s popularity and Tom Hiddleston’s charisma, the story seems pretty interesting. Remember how Loki, God of Mischief, took off with the Tesseract? As we all surmised, this would have drastic consequences across the known galaxy. Apparently, the Time Variant Authority caught up with Loki, and is attempting to have him right his wrongs. Also, anytime we see the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in a trailer, we get homesick for DragonCon, so this was a nice little nod. Anyhow, on to the trailer: “Loki” will hit…

While we’re still not sure why someone thought “Space Jam” needed a remake, a new trailer for the film just released. Starring LeBron James, the live-action-animated hybrid film looks to continue the sporting tradition of the Tune Squad vs the Monstaaars. This official trailer for “Space Jam: A New Legacy” also offers us our first look at James in animated form. And, Mr. Bugs Bunny wearing Marvin the Martian’s helmet? But. Why the heck does Iron Giant show up? Not that we’re complaining, because we LOVE him. It’s just…odd. Kinda like how in one shot on the court, you can…

We’re beginning to think that Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” is never going to see the light of day. With so many delays and changes to the film’s release date, you can kinda understand why we think that. But, Marvel Studios decided today would be the perfect time to release a new trailer for the film. The first 30 seconds of the new trailer are a catchup of Natasha Rominoff (Scarlett Johansson) has been doing during all of the MCU films. But then, we get to see some glimpses of young Nat as a blue-haired teenager, and more of her connection…

We’d not-so-secretly been hoping that the news reported on April 1st from Warner Bros. Pictures wasn’t true. Maybe it was someone’s idea of a really mean spirited April Fool’s joke? Because in what world does it make sense that WB would suddenly drop two big time DC Comics projects? Specifically, Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of “The New Gods,” and James Wan’s “Aquaman” spinoff about “The Trench.” When both projects were announced, there was a cautious optimism from hopeful fans. These are absolutely interesting stories from directors with a voice we want to see. According to the usual outlet suspects, both “The…

This just in- we are sorry to report that “Bridgerton” star Regé-Jean Page will not be returning for season 2. The Netflix period drama took the quarantined world by storm, becoming an overnight sensation. The Hollywood Reporter says “Bridgerton” season 2 will reportedly focus on Jonathan Bailey’s character, Anthony Bridgerton. Phoebe Dynevor is expected to continue to appear as Daphne Bridgerton. She’ll help her brother “navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer.” Fans can see Page in the upcoming…

We are delighted to share the newest bit of casting news for The CW’s upcoming live action adaptation of “The Powerpuff Girls!” This is arguably one of the most important roles for the series, as villain Mojo Jojo is a HUGE part of the original cartoon. With suspect timing (announced on April 1st, but confirmed by everyone the following day), Nicholas Podany will be playing Joseph “Jojo” Mondel Jr. in the series pilot. As a kid, the nerdy, power-hungry, insecure JoJo was obsessed with The Powerpuff Girls, despite his father’s grudge against them. As an adult, JoJo finds his sweetness…

When thinking about the various moments from “The Simpsons” that live rent free in our head….there’s a lot. One moment from season 11, episode 10 “Little Big Mom” is certainly in the top five. Perhaps you’ll recall Homer trying to ski, and being distracted by neighbor Ned Flanders in a fancy speed suit. A very tight and revealing speed suit, that happens to showcase Ned’s shapely posterior. Ned describes the suit as making him feel as if he’s wearing “nothing at all.” A line that comes back to haunt Homer as he’s trying to recall his instructor’s advice. “STUPID SEXY…

While writing about Disneyland right now is somewhat frustrating, the idea that someday soon we may able to visit again is comforting. Having been closed for over a year, the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ is making some long overdue changes, upgrades, and more during this down time. Along with some notable facelifts for popular rides and attractions like Splash Mountain and The Jungle Cruise, there will be something changing at the iconic Blue Bayou restaurant in New Orleans Square. Generally known as “that place you can see from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride” aka “throw us some bread!,” the…
