Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

FINALLY, the ultimate board game to decorate the rec room in my starship- an officially licensed “Star Wars” Dejarik board, just like the one Captain Solo had on the Millennium Falcon. Straight from the Disney Store website: If you flip over the board, you can play Rebellion vs Empire checkers! Dejarik Board: This double-sided wooden board features the distinctive circular Dejarik board on one side and checkers on the reverse side. It includes eight Dejarik game figures although, unlike the version seen played by Chewbacca on the Millennium Falcon in numerous Star Wars films, these pieces are real and not holographic. Includes…

It’s been 15 years since Keanu Reeves delved into the comic book character of demon hunter John Constantine in Francis Lawrence’s “Constantine” film, and maybe it’s high time for that long-rumored sequel. If you’ll recall, during the anniversary panel for the film during SDCC at home 2020, Lawrence and Reeves both spoke to the likelihood of a second film, as well as their interest level (which was surprisingly high). But, things being what they are, and with Matt Ryan’s brilliant portrayal of John Constantine on The CW’s DC Comics shows, we weren’t expecting anything to happen. That said, a new post…

Despite the adamant vow to have new Marvel Studios tv series “WandaVision” hit Disney+ sometime in 2020, looks like that just won’t be the case. The announcement was made this morning by Disney+ via their official Twitter account, and featured another glimpse at the upcoming show that stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as their “Avengers” characters Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch, and Vision. This announcement comes hot on the heels of the rather large Entertainment Weekly spotlight issue, including a cover and some juicy tidbits about the filming for the series. Namely, that the first episode was filmed…

I’m gonna kick this off by saying I absolutely love playing “Assassin’s Creed” titles, and have since the beginning of the franchise. While not all chapters in the saga are created equal, one can always count on Ubisoft to provide sweeping vistas and unique mechanics for keeping players interested. The newest installment, “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” just launched this week, and I’m already feeling nostalgic for the previously released title, Odyssey. Yes, “Valhalla” really is like if “Skyrim” and “God of War” had a baby- an axe-wielding, mead-obsessed baby who’s going through a serious HISTORY’s “Vikings” phase. “You’re not my REAL…

Seems like we get most of our “American Horror Story” news straight from the source himself, as once again Ryan Murphy has shared official key art for an upcoming season before FX Networks do. We love all things space around here, and the ability to share images of the NASA SpaceX crew heading via Falcon 9 rocket to the ISS (International Space Station) this weekend is pretty damn awesome. Noted as the first crew rotation launching from American soil in almost a decade, NASA’s SpaceX Crew-1 mission will launch U.S. astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, and Shannon Walker, and Japan Aerospace Exploration astronaut Soichi Noguchi from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL. They will arrive at the ISS to join NASA astronaut Kate Rubins, and Russian space agency Roscosmos Expedition 64 commander Sergey…

This is honestly not the reboot we were expecting to get announced this year, but everything is fair game in 2020. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions is reportedly rebooting “The Mummy” spinoff film “The Scorpion King” that launched Johnson’s acting career back in 2002. Johnson said of the news: “The Scorpion King was my very first role ever on the silver screen and I’m honored and excited to reimagine and deliver this cool mythology to a whole new generation. I wouldn’t have had the career I’m lucky enough to have had it not been for The Scorpion…

We can all agree that Taika Waititi is a unique filmmaker, right? Someone capable of bringing something new and different to the screen with pretty much every project he puts his name to. So of course he’d bring that same ability to a Coca-Cola Christmas commercial released this morning, right? Prepare the tissues. This long-form commercial is more like a short film, and it’s absolutely beautiful. “This Christmas, give something only you can give. Be it in person, over an awkward video call, or just a quick message, making time for the ones you love is what makes Christmas truly…

We are so pleased to share the news that Netflix has indeed renewed “The Umbrella Academy” for a third season! Obviously we don’t really know what season 3 of “The Umbrella Academy” will be about, or how current conditions might get better enough for the production to begin in February 2021, but we’re optimistic. Seasons 1 and 2 of the series, based on the comics written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, are available to stream, only on Netflix.
