It’s May the 4th, and that means ALL THE “STAR WARS” stuff. This shouldn’t surprise anyone, but a set containing new Legacy lightsaber hilts of Luke and Leia were released this morning, and promptly sold out. It’s not just any set either. Nestled in a replica of the chest Rey places the two hilts in at the end of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” the pair are beautifully recreated. Walt Disney World has some pretty big plans on the horizon for their “Star Wars” themed hotel. Today on May the 4th, the House of Mouse teased what they’re calling “real” lightsabers! In a video posted to the park’s social media channels, we see a lovely cast member dressed as Rey. She turns slowly, and we see her holding a lightsaber. It fires up, and we see why Obi Wan called it an elegant weapon. May the 4th has become, in recent years, the official “Star Wars” day. Sure, maybe it should’ve been the original release date for the film (May 25th, 1977) but we like a good play on words. Animated series “Rick and Morty” is returning for a 5th season. A second official trailer for the premiere has surfaced, and it sure seems familiar. Perhaps you’ll feel the same way after watching it- this moment in particular kinda sorta lookin’ like “Voltron” paladins in their lions?
