An epic quest has begun, to raise funds to purchase the home of J.R.R. Tolkien. The hope of the Project Northmoor organization is to restore the property, and build a center devoted to celebrating “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings” author, which at present doesn’t exist anywhere in the world. Sir Ian McKellen helped launch the project this morning, sharing a video featuring other familiar Middle Earth faces. One thing we’re definitely putting on our holiday shopping lists this year is the 4K remaster of Peter Jackson’s incredible 6-film Middle Earth saga of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies. This just in- Multiple Emmy-winning “Game of Thrones” alum Peter Dinklage will be starring in Legendary Pictures’ upcoming reboot of “Toxic Avenger.” Macon Blair will be directing. Lloyd Kaufman of Troma Entertainment (the studio which produced the “Toxic Avenger” film in 1984) will serve as producer, along with and Michael Herz.We’ll let you know what else we hear about this.

We still cannot believe we’re actually getting a tv series on Disney+ based on Ron Howard’s fantasy film from the 80s, “Willow.” Much maligned (even by it’s fans), the film still holds a special place in cinema. It’s been a weird year for many reasons, and the news keeps reflecting that. The day after the passing of David Prowse, legendary statuesque actor who played “Star Wars” ultimate villain Darth Vader in the original trilogy, some guy broke into Bad Robot’s offices and stole an original iconic Vader helmet. Not only did he snag Vader’s helmet, but reports mention “a cart full” of additional “Star Wars” items. One of the things we’re hoping to see someday when the world gets back to a relatively normal operating style is Universal Studios Japan upcoming Super Nintendo World theme park! Every single photo, video, and press release about it gets us even more excited for it. We can’t really blame the park for pushing opening day back, all things considered, so we’re pleased to report the new date of February 4th, 2021. The opening of the Osaka, Japan theme park will now coincide with the park’s 20th anniversary celebration.

This is news we are torn to report about, because Amazon has announced that “The Expanse” has been renewed for a 6th season, but- it will the last for the science fiction series. The other big news with this announcement is that Cas Anvar, who has been accused of various degrees of harassment and abusive behavior by multiple women, will not be returning to the series for season 6. Imagine you’re on your regular walk through the busy streets of Toronto, Canada, and suddenly A SINKHOLE OPENS under your feet- filled with some strange, alien neon green glowing liquid.
