Okay, whoever decided that Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” needed to be a Christmas tale, with serious “Die Hard” vibes- good job! That fits Jeremy Renner’s “Avengers” hero pretty damn perfectly. Needless to say, we were pretty pleasantly surprised this morning when Disney+ released the first trailer for their upcoming series. Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop alongside Renner’s Clint Barton is an excellent choice. Can we all agree that “Rogers: The Musical” needs to happen? On to the trailer! Florence Pugh is reprising her “Black Widow” role of Yelena Belova. Vera Farmiga will be playing Kate Bishop’s mother Eleanor. Fra Fee will be playing Marvel…

We are sorry to say that one of our most anticipated films has been delayed. True, this is a project we weren’t expecting to see for some time, but any delay sucks. George Miller’s upcoming “Mad Max: Fury Road” prequel film “Furiosa” won’t be releasing anytime soon.According to a new report, the Anya Taylor-Joy starring project will now bow sometime in 2024. Cameras were supposed to start rolling last month. Production is crawling along. While we don’t know much about “Furiosa” yet, we DO know that Chris Hemsworth and Yaha Abdul-Mateen II are also on board. There have been persistent rumors that the story…
We’re kinda hoping everyone’s answer to our headline question is a huge “UM YES!” Just imagine for a second all the young folks who grew up loving “Hocus Pocus” getting the chance as an adult to be part of the sequel?! Yeah, that’s the level of excitement we have over here at Nerdbot. As announced by Kendall Cooper Casting, you may have a chance to appear in “Hocus Pocus 2” as an extra! The casting call says the production is looking for some specifics, so make sure you fit the bill before heading to Providence, RI. “Production is seeking people…
We’re gonna admit it- we completely forgot this animated “Aquaman: King of Atlantis” thing was coming from HBO Max. But this morning the streaming service arm of HBO released a trailer for it, and we love it!Imagine following around the King of Atlantis for a day on the job, and that’s what this is. The art style is unique, and with the assembled voice talent, we have to assume hilarity will ensue. Cooper Andrews (“The Walking Dead”) voices Aquaman. He’s joined by Gillian Jacobs (“Community”) as Mera, Dana Snyder (“Thundercats ROAR!”) as King Orm, and Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911”) as Vulko.…
This is a fairly strange bit of news. It would appear that Jim Gianopulos is leaving his position as Chairman and CEO of Paramount. His sudden departure means a new face in the role, Brian Robbins, who currently runs Nickelodeon. A Wall Street Journal report indicates Paramount as a studio may be looking to refocus. Obviously this week we saw the studio’s streaming service Paramount+ unveil more of their premiere franchise “Star Trek” tv plans, so we know that’ll remain an important focus. But, what about the film franchises?A look at the movie release calendar reveals a handful of titles…
During today’s massively awesome Sony PlayStation Showcase, there were all kinds of reveals. Some, we knew about, some, were a super pleasant surprise! One title however, we’ve been anxiously awaiting updates on- Santa Monica Studio’s upcoming “God of War” sequel title, “God of War Ragnarok.” Creative Director at Santa Monica Studio Cory Barlog’s enthusiasm is as always infectious. Christopher Judge (“Stargate”) is back as Kratos, Sunny Suljic is back as Atreus. Danielle Bisutti will once again voice Freya. Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy”) is playing Thor in this outing, and Richard Schiff (“The West Wing”) will be playing Odin All-Father!…
Today, the 2021 PlayStation Showcase happened. Right off the bat, confirmation of that much anticipated “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake,” complete with a tease. No details on when we might be seeing it, but we do know it’ll be exclusively for the PS5. Then comes “Project Eve” from Shift Up. It’s been in development since 2019, and you can read more about the title on PlayStation’s official blog here. Gearbox’s next Borderlands offshoot “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands” looks pretty batshit crazy and awesome. It’s due out March 25th, 2022. Admittedly, we didn’t know anything about Square Enix’s “Forspoken,”…
We are pretty damn delighted to share the news that Disney’s upcoming live-action “Haunted Mansion” film has added more names to the cast. We already knew that Tiffany Haddish and LaKeith Stanfield were part of the film, but two more names were just added. Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson have reportedly signed on as well, at least according to the usual outlet suspects. Both Wilson and Dawson have been recently involved with other Disney+ projects, with “Loki” and “The Mandalorian,” respectively. Dawson’s Jedi Master “Ahsoka” character has her own series due out at a later date. If you can’t get enough…
