Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We’re not sure how to tell you this, but Elon Musk will be hosting “Saturday Night Live.” No, this isn’t a joke. The long-running NBC sketch comedy show announced Musk’s hosting along with the musical guest, Miley Cyrus. This news was met with immediate concerns about just how loose cannon-y Musk might be. This wasn’t really helped by a tweet from the Tesla Motors founder. “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live is,” with a smiling devil face. Maybe it’ll be ok? Maybe….yeah no. We can’t even make up false positives about this. We’ll find out on May…

This just in- it would appear that Marvel Studios is NOT done with the saga of “Captain America,” as a 4th feature film about the Avengers hero is in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Malcolm Spellman, showrunner on Disney+’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” will helm the project. At this point, no cast has been revealed, but we’re all kind of anticipating the story of Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) to continue. This story is developing…

Today marks the release of the R-rated “Mortal Kombat” reboot film. Hitting HBO Max last night around midnight, the majority of early reviews were positive. No one was expecting this to be a revelation of a release, but we were hoping for something of substance. Good news though for those of you who really loved it- the possibility of 4 more films. Joe Taslim, who played Sub-Zero in this new fighty flick, recently spoke with Variety about the project. He apparently likes to get hit in the face while filming? To each his own. But the big thing revealed is…

We seriously can’t get over what an amazing fete of engineering this Baby Groot robot is. The Imagineers at Disney have done it again with this build. Just imagine you’re walking through California Adventure at Disneyland and you see Baby Groot, walking around and interacting with guests. Talk about magic! TechCrunch was able to speak with Project Kiwi’s R&D Imagineer Principal Scott LaValley about the project: “Project KIWI started about three years ago to figure out how we can bring our smaller characters to life at their actual scale in authentic ways. It’s an exciting time for bipedal robotics and…

Leave it to Russell Crowe to break his NDA with Marvel Studios. I mean seriously, out of all the actors involved with the various films and projects, he’s the one to let a secret slip?! Isn’t that Tom Holland’s job or something? We digress. The Oscar-winning actor will be joining Chris Hemsworth in the upcoming “Thor: Love and Thunder,” which will be the second MCU film directed by Taika Waititi. No one really had any idea who Crowe might be playing. Especially after Christian Bale was confirmed to be Gorr the God Butcher. Is he maybe just offering his voice…

I just finished watching the R-rated “Mortal Kombat” we’ve all been waiting for. And you know what? It was better than I thought it was going to be. That said, it absolutely should have been BETTER. With so much time to craft this project and all the talent behind it, there is no excuse for this film not to be a flawless victory. Someone at HBO Max should have made the pitch for this to be a 6-8 part mini series rather than a feature film. Would I watch that? Hell yes I would. Starring Lewis Tan (“Deadpool 2,” Netflix’s “Wu Assassins”)…

The one and only Bill Murray has something to say about those adorable mini-pufts from “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” Tiny, fluffy, and delicious, the tiny versions of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man made their debut in the most recent teaser for the upcoming film. Murray, one of the original Ghostbusters, took some time out of his busy schedule (seriously he shows up EVERYWHERE) to chat with Ivan Riteman, director of the 1984 film. Ivan is the father of Jason Riteman, who is directing “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” for Sony Pictures. Check out his reaction below. Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things“), Mckenna Grace (“Captain Marvel“), and Logan Kim are the young…
