Heck yes, this is one of those awesome bits of news we’re delighted to see confirmed. We already knew Hayden Christensen was returning to the galaxy far, far away as his “Star Wars” alter ego Anakin Skywalker for the upcoming Disney+ series “Kenobi.” But, today we get the added bonus of even MORE Hayden Christensen for live-action series “Ahsoka!”This of course could maybe mean we’ll get to see newly-minted Darth Vader as well as Anakin. On Thursday October 21st, an awful and by all accounts preventable nightmare occurred on the set of “Rust,” a western film starring Alec Baldwin. A pistol was fired by Baldwin, striking both cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza. Hutchins was killed, Souza was treated for his injuries. IASTE Local 44 issued an email to their Sante Fe members, indicating a single live round was in play, causing this tragedy. If God created Arrakis to train the faithful, so too did Denis Villeneuve with his film “Dune.” We can say that with complete certainty after finally witnessing the visual blessing. For me personally, Frank Herbert’s “Dune” has been my “Star Wars.” Obsessed with, haunted by, impassioned. It used to be that no amount of wishful thinking in the guise of headlines from outlets would resurrect a series. Try as they might, fans just can’t get Netflix’s Marvel series back.
