Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

This is another one of those stories we kinda hope is true, but at this point, is pretty scarce with details. According to a report, Netflix MAY be developing BioWare’s hugely popular video game franchise “Dragon Age” into a series! The early report indicates that this project would theoretically be loosely based on the first game in the series, “Dragon Age: Origins,” which was released back in 2009. No idea if this would be an animated series, anime, or live action. Considering just how many animated projects Netflix currently has, and how many live action projects they have on the horizon,…

Green will be directing the first chapter. Perhaps the most interesting part of today’s news is the return of Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil. In the first installment of the proposed…

Earlier this year, we had our hopes set way too high when a tweet from the gorgeous Lea Thompson indicated her interest in directing a “Howard the Duck” reboot. Prompted by the first full-length trailer for Disney+’s upcoming animated Marvel Studios series “What If….?” having a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Howard cameo, Thompson immediately offered her thoughts via Twitter. The much maligned 1986 film is often considered one of notorious flops of the day, but definitely has a cult classic standing now. James Gunn even included Howard in his “Guardians of the Galaxy” film, and the character started trending again. But back to…

We seriously cannot wait for season 3 of “What We Do In The Shadows.” Based on the film of the same name from Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, the FX series has taken the idea of modern vampires living in Staten Island and absolutely ran with it. We are delighted and frankly terrified to share the full trailer for SYFY’s upcoming “Chucky” tv series, from original “Child’s Play” creator Don Mancini! If you’ll recall, the murderous doll franchise was the latest to suffer from multiple rights holders trying to get projects off the ground (think 2019’s “Child’s Play” reboot which Mancinci had nothing to do with). This series though, happens to bring “Chucky’s Daddy” (Jennifer Tilly‘s words to us at the Saturn Awards) Mancini back to the fold, as well as the original voice of Chucky, Brad Doriff (who confirmed to me personally he would be returning for the project…
