Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

Considering we know following the release of “No Time To Die” current 007 Daniel Craig…

Every so often, a film project comes around that makes you immediately exited. For us, news of a Taika Waititi helmed “Flash Gordon” was absolutely one of those things. Originally, this project for Disney was going to be an animated project, but that isn’t the case now. According to “Jungle Cruise” producer John Davis, the film morphed from animated to LIVE ACTION! “Taika is writing it. It was a movie that was a huge influence on him growing up. It is one of his favorite movies,” Davis said. “He initially said to me, ‘Let’s do it animated.’ Then we got…

Another high profile lawsuit was filed this morning, with Gerard Butler (no relation) reportedly in process of suing Nu Image/Millennium Films for a reported $10 million owed for the 2013 film “Olympus Has Fallen.” According to Variety, Butler’s suit alleges a producer had “understated domestic and foreign receipts by tens of millions of dollars and had failed to report $8 million that went to its own executives.” So, in the grand scheme of things, this is a far more straight forward lawsuit than Scarlett Johansson vs. Disney, and the possible suit Emma Stone may be looking into.
