Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

A continuation of HISTORY’s “Vikings” series from creator Michael Hirst, “Vikings: Valhalla” will tell the tale of other notable Norse warriors and explorers. Today during IGN’s Fan Fest 2022, Netflix revealed the opening title sequence. Filmmaker Jon Watts, who directed all three of Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man” outings, may be headed to a galaxy far, far away. This is a story that is currently super deep into rumor territory. Watts is possibly currently in discussion to direct “a new series” in the “Star Wars” universe for Disney+. There’s no telling what the project might be, it could be anything. The time has come for IGN’s annual Fan Fest. Today, things kicked off with a look at Paramount+’s upcoming live-action “Halo” series. Highlights include new footage, some never before seen concept art including set dioramas, and interviews with key cast and creatives for the series. Pablo Schreiber, who plays Master Chief, teased the possibility of seeing the iconic character’s face during the show. Sony’s live-action film adaptation of popular video game “Uncharted” has just hit theaters. Star Tom Holland, while no one’s first choice for the role of Nathan Drake, seems pretty into the property. So much so in fact that he hung out with popular YouTube personality Jack Septiceye to play the game. The pair play parts of “Uncharted: 4,” chapter 11. It’s been a minute since we heard anything about Amazon’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Bethesda’s ever popular video game franchise “Fallout.” But, we’re happy to report, the news is good! According to the usual suspects, Walton Goggins (“Justified,” “Incinvible”) will star in “Fallout.” We’re not sure exactly where in the game’s lore the show will pick up from. We are SO DELIGHTED to share this bit of “Star Wars” news. Mere days after Maestro 90th birthday, news of a brand new theme by the great John Williams! This will be the official theme for Disney+’s upcoming “Obi Wan Kenobi” series. It is unclear if this new theme will include previous pieces for the character, or be an entirely new composition. Ewan McGregor once again stars as the Jedi Master, and is joined by Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. The series is set to hit Disney+ on May 25th, 2022.

Decorated actor Tom Hanks stars as Colonel Tom Parker, manager of Presley.
