We want to start by saying we VERY MUCH HOPE Carlos Santana makes a full recovery from whatever prompted this to happen. Earlier this evening during a concert at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, MI, guitar legend Carlos Santana reportedly passed out on stage. Additional footage from the show indicates he regained consciousness before being taken from the facility by medical staff. At present, Santana’s team has not issued any kind of official statement or reason. According to other eye witness reports, the venue staff did make an announcement, which said: “Ladies and gentlemen as you can see…
It’s hard to believe the animated Disney film “Beauty and The Beast” has already turned 30, but here we are. The tale as old as time classic film stared Paige O’Hara as Belle, and Robbie Benson as The Beast aka Prince Adam. It conceptually tackled themes of looks aren’t everything, and be kind to everyone. To celebrate such a momentous anniversary, Disney has announced a 2-hour hybrid special coming to ABC. (Although technically the 30th anniversary would have been in 2021.) While we don’t know who all will be appearing yet, we do know the special will feature never-before-seen musical…
Anime Expo Los Angeles happened over this past weekend. Obviously there was some…excitement…leading into the event opening. One of the big reveals that happened though was the official opening sequence for Netflix’s upcoming “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” anime! The series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk. In development since 2018, CD PROJEKT RED produces along with showrunner/executive producer Rafał Jaki (The Witcher 3:…

We know we weren’t alone in wondering who the heck Sigourney Weaver was going to be playing in James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water.” As you’ll no doubt recall, Weaver’s character Grace died in the first “Avatar” film. So, unless she…didn’t die, or some type of flashback was used, how would she be incorporated? Early reports indicated Weaver would be playing a “new character,” but that was kind of it. Until Empire Magazine’s recent reveal.Weaver will be playing Kiri, adopted teenage daughter of Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neyteri (Zoe Saldana). “I think we all pretty much remember what we…
We’ve known for sometime that the iconic Splash Mountain water ride at Disneyland and Walt Disney World were getting a major facelift. It’s a good change, as much of the depicted decor and setting was…outdated and problematic, to say the least. Instead of characters based on the pretty freaking awful and racist “Song of the South,” Splash Mountain will transform to a “The Princess and the Frog” theme instead. First announced in 2020, the process has been slow going. Pandemic delays didn’t help. The official Disney Parks blog has revealed the revamp has an opening date! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is…
We will fight anyone who thinks Disney’s classic “Halloweentown” films aren’t great. Debbie Reynolds as the witchy grandmother of your dreams?! C’mon now! It even has an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes! The 1998 Disney Channel original film launched a series of 4 sequels, all starring Kimberly J. Brown as Marnie Piper. In 2001, the first sequel “Halloweentown: Kalabar’s Revenge,” introduced Daniel Kountz as Kal, son of Kalabar. Kal would become a love interest [kinda] for Marnie, and the pair’s relationship grew over the 2 films. Imagine fans’ delight in learning Brown and Kountz were a real life couple! This…
This just in- it would appear that “Dune Part Two,” Denis Villeneuve’s second film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal work of science fiction, has changed release dates. True, the previously reported date was more of a legacy place holder. But damnit, we have to redo the graphics we had. According to the usual suspects, “Dune Part Two” will now bow on November 17th, 2023. Right before the Thanksgiving holiday. We will of course let you know what else we hear about this and other news. You can catch up with the latest on casting and more here.Shai Hulud.
Fans of Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse should mark their calendars for next week! The filmmaker teased a trailer drop date for the upcoming film “Clerks III,” and we’re pretty excited. Last we heard, Randal (Jeff Anderson), Dante (Brian O’Halloran), Elias (Trevor Fehrman), Becky (Rosario Dawson), Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith) will all be returning for the film.
