Ah, the first day at a new job. We’ve all been there- the excitement, the terror, the pressure! You know who’s having one of those days? James Gunn. The filmmaker just started his new gig, as co-head of Warner Bros. Studios’ newly renamed and relanched DC Studios, along with Peter Safran.
Fandom was generally shocked when the announcement of the division was made. Not surprising really to see Gunn have such a prominent role, having delivered two pretty well lauded projects for WB; “The Suicide Squad” and “Peacemaker.”
From Henry Cavill‘s return as Superman (he’s pretty excited to meet Gunn, btw) to whatever else is on the docket, we’re actually excited to see what comes of this. And of course, we still have two Gunn-written-and-directed outings from Marvel Studios, “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special,” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.”
