This just in- DC Studios co-head James Gunn has confirmed he will direct the upcoming new Superman film, “Superman Legacy,” which he also wrote. We are sorry to report Disney+’s “Willow” series will not be getting a second season. Hailing from original film director Ron Howard, the continuation of the adventures of Willow premiered in 2022 to mixed reviews. Some fans found it to be a pretty great show- blending high fantasy elements with humor- while others didn’t care for some of the story choices. Warwick Davis, who played the character of Willow in the original film, led a cast including Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Amer Chadha-Patel, and Tony Revolori. After what seems like an eternity, multi-Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro is finally getting his dream project off the ground. Fans of GdT know of his love for Mary Shelly’s iconic and genre defining tome, “Frankenstein,” and his efforts to make his own film version for literally decades. It is very likely we’ll be seeing the return of filmmaker Zack Snyder to DC films. Or should we say, his addition to DC Studios, the newly launched DC Comics arm of Warner Bros. We are absolutely delighted to share the news that one of our favorites from “Ted Lasso,” Hannah Waddingham, has joined “Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One.” The casting was announced by writer/director Christopher McQuarrie. Waddingham joins the returning cast of Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Rebecca Ferguson. Ok, first and foremost- while this juicy headline makes a lot of sense, there is no PROOF it’s a thing. Yet. We say yet, because there is every possibility it does end up happening.
