Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We know we’re not alone in wondering why the heck Netflix ‘officially’ confirmed “Squid Game” season 2 for a third time. Seriously- we’ve known for some time that the streaming giant had given the show the green light. But, for whatever reason, they confirmed yet again that yes, “Squid Game” will return for a sophomore season. One new thing today though was a quote from creator/writer/director Hwang Dong-Hyuk. Netflix themselves confirmed s2 is still early in development. You can catch season 1 of “Squid Game” exclusively on Netflix. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

It’s been rumored for literal decades, but, a “Duke Nukem” movie is coming. Legendary Pictures has enlisted “Cobra Kai” creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg to produce. The rights used to belong to Gearbox, but were recently acquired by Legendary. That’s…sort of all we know for sure at this point. One of the most anticipated series on the way from HBO has to be “The Last of Us.” Naughty Dog Studios’ hugely popular video game series serves as the basis of this post apocalyptic tale. Pedro Pascal stars as Joel, with fellow “Game of Thrones” alum Bella Ramsay as Ellie. Murray Bartlett is playing Frank, Nick Offerman is playing Bill. This just in,it sounds like we’re finally going to see that long-gestating “Thunderbolts” movie from Marvel Studios! The news today included Jake Schreier being tapped to direct. As well as Eric Pearson, who wrote “Black Widow,” penning the script. Kevin Feige is set to produce.As to which version of the Thunderbolts team we may be getting…it’s kinda like a grab bag. Another week, another set of legal woes for Ezra Miller. We’re still not sure what all is going on with the young actor, but it continues to get more complicated. There were arrests in Hawaii, as well as their strange fascination with recording said arrests for “crypto art.”This time, a set of parents have lodged a legal complaint alleging Miller is a danger to their daughter.
