Author: Mary Anne Butler

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

We are absolutely delighted to share the official trailer for Rob Zombie’s upcoming film, “The Munsters!” It’s a love story, centering on how Herman Munster meets Lily. Amazon Prime’s adaptation of “The Wheel of Time” made some…interesting choices. Things were altered, changed, added, which is totally normal for tv series based on a book series. More-so when the source material is 14 freaking books long. Which is why it was strange the series opted to add so much additional content that didn’t really have much to do with the novels. But, in this case, the added stuff (a scene that was teased in the initial trailers for “Wheel of Time”) was removed from the first season. During this past weekend’s WoTCon in Ohio, two deleted scenes were…

We’re as shocked as anyone to be writing about Radio Shack and their totally-not-hacked Twitter account. The company, which is 101 years old, still maintains a presence both online and with about 400 physical stores. That’s pretty impressive considering they filed for Chapter 11 in 2015. (Retail Ecommerce Ventures purchased the company back in 2020.) Which is why the Radio Shack Twitter suddenly becoming a thirsty thing is semi-surprising. Radio Shack Chief Marketing Officer (who is also listed on LinkedIn as CEO?) Ábel Czupor had a vision, no one can argue that. Watching the company’s official Twitter go through a pretty…

Sadly, this rose questions across the internet about who would be playing the iconic character. It seemed like scores of commenters…forgot…who was given the vibranium shield and mantle at the tail end of “Avengers: Endgame.” Maybe they didn’t watch Disney+’s “Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” Perhaps they haven’t visited Disneyland since the new Cap was…
