The UK is preparing to introduce one of the world’s toughest social media ban targeting children under 16. This would keep them from accessing most major social media platforms. These platforms include TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, X, YouTube, and Reddit. The proposal, announced by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is part of a larger effort to address concerns about online safety. This also considers children’s mental health, cyberbullying, and excessive screen time which are all problems today. Enforcement would focus on the technology companies rather than children themselves. Platforms would be required to implement stronger age-verification systems to prevent underage users…

One thing I love doing with my husband is watching Survivor. Jeff Probst has a special place in this house. It started when we first got married and we’ve since collected a handful of other Survivor fans to play a game filled with points, picks and winners/losers. Think of it like a fantasy football league for Survivor. It’s always fun to watch to the end and see who wins. I’m pretty terrible at it but sometimes my pick does make it to at least the final 3. But that always gets me wondering, how do these Survivor Winners spend their…

New reports have revealed that location scans collected through Pokémon Go helped train artificial intelligence models capable of understanding and interpreting real-world environments. Those same AI capabilities are now connected to technology being developed. What’s unnerving for users whose data was collected is that they are using that data for drone navigation in military settings. Including areas where GPS signals are unavailable or intentionally disrupted. Pokémon Go, launched in 2016, encouraged players to explore the real world in search of Pokémon. Several years later, the game introduced a feature that rewarded users for scanning real-world locations such as landmarks, parks,…

Florida has become the first U.S. state to sue OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman. The suit, filed by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, alleges that OpenAI knowingly released and promoted ChatGPT. However they did so despite warnings about potential safety risks. ChatGPT in particular says that it’s “Built with Safety in Mind.” So when it can be used for malicious intent that defeats the purpose of that message. According to the complaint, state officials argue that OpenAI prioritized growth and market rankings over user safety. The lawsuit cites several incidents in which individuals allegedly used ChatGPT before carrying out violent…

Permanent jewelry sits against skin for long stretches, so chain choice affects comfort as much as appearance. Thickness changes flex, pressure, and how a welded piece moves with tendons during daily tasks. Metal influences shine, maintenance, and the chance of irritation in sensitive skin. A useful comparison looks past showroom sparkle and asks practical questions about friction, moisture exposure, fit, and how a chain holds up after weeks of regular wear. Why Thickness Matters Thickness changes how a chain drapes, presses, and responds to repeated motion. Before choosing permanent jewelry chains, many shoppers compare width, link pattern, metal content, skin…

The GlassesShop Pink Butterfly Glasses are a great option if you want a good balance between style, comfort, and affordability. The frame is two things I love, stylish AND glittery. For someone like me who loves everything cute and sparkly they were a must try. Plus they’re right in that vein of fashion forward while also not being too gaudy for wearing at work. One of the things I like the most about them is that they are very light weight. Meaning you hardly notice you’re wearing them! At Glassesshop they offer a number of different lens customizations so you…

The Amazing Digital Circus had a huge Thursday crowd. It’s one of those times I was able to talk to my daughter and educate her on the history of the Thursday screening. You see previously, about 20 years ago, you would have seen a theater packed at midnight trying to get a glimpse of a franchise that made them extremely happy. Now, likely due to the pandemic, we’re used to late screenings the day before the real launch of the film. But back to the “movie” I’m supposed to be talking about. The Amazing Digital Circus. This wasn’t a movie…
