Blumhouse has confirmed the title for Todd McFarlane’s long-awaited Spawn movie will be “King Spawn.” In 1992, McFarlane launched the “Spawn” comics about an antihero mercenary who dies and goes to Hell for his crimes. Director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s (“Do Revenge”) planned reboot of 1997’s “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is really starting to take shape. Camila Mendes (“Riverdale”) and Madelyn Cline (“Outer Banks”) are in talks to lead the ensemble cast. Robinson co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Lansky after an initial script from Leah McKendrick (“Scrambled”).  The Cast So Far Tony Award nominee Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers (“Atlanta”), and Jonah Hauer-King (“The Little Mermaid” 2023) are also in talks to star in the reboot. In 2021, Keanu Reeves debuted his 12-issue comic series “BRZRKR,” which he co-wrote with Matt Kindt, with art by Ron Garney. The series follows an immortal warrior known as Berzerker, as he fights his way through the ages. Reeves has since collaborated with China Miéville (“Perdido Street Station”) on his first novel, “The Book of Elsewhere,” which is set in the “BRZRKR” universe. Lionsgate has put a replica of the Bandits Technical SUV featured in “Borderlands” up for auction. The vehicle is being used in a promotional tour for the film including stops at San Diego Comic-Con and a Los Angeles special fan event. Proceeds from its sale will benefit the 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization Shark Allies. Marvel Studios’ upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine” will be a hodgepodge of different X-Men from the comic and cinematic universes.
