The ByteDance-owned video platform TikTok saga continues. After being taken down by a Supreme Court ruling, the app was back up hours later with a message thanking President Donald Trump. On January 27th, Trump told reporters that Microsoft is in talks to buy the app, solving its legal woes. The Supreme Court argued TikTok’s current owner ByteDance provided user data to the Chinese government, and/or has a direct influence on the content users see.
