On October 8th, Limp Bizkit filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) for $200 million over alleged unpaid royalties. Lead singer Fred Durst’s lawyers claim that he has “not seen a dime in royalties” over the decades. This is shocking considering how pervasive the band’s music was in the late 1990s and early 2000s.  The band believes the label’s unfair practices may have affected hundreds of other artists. The iconic home from the 1982 film “Poltergeist” just sold for $1.28 million, $100,000 over the asking price. The new owners plan to restore the Simi Valley, California house and turn it into a short-term rental property. Christian Melgar and Zo Amilee with Coldwell Banker Realty Westlake Village recently spoke to TMZ about the sale. The unnamed new owner is an investor from Los Gatos, CA. Filmmaker Sam Raimi will be making his return to horror with “Sed Help.” Oscar-nominee Rachel McAdams (“Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret”) is in talks to star in the upcoming horror-thriller from 20th Century Studios. Say “Hi, Barbie” to Mattel’s latest addition. The toy maker has partnered with Indian fashion designer Anita Dongre on a Barbie Diwali doll. Just in time to celebrate her namesake Festival of Lights, paying tribute to the triumph of light over darkness. This is the first time that the iconic line has collaborated with a renowned Indian designer to honor a culturally significant festival.
