The publisher will be launching a Kickstarter campaign for the project early next month, offering limited-edition covers and other collectibles. Japanese media company and home for all things Godzilla, Toho Co., has aquired a new indie distributor. The media powerhouse will be taking on North American production company GKIDS. GKIDS Launched in 2008, GKIDS is focused on animated movies, and will now operate as a subsidiary of Toho. This branch will continue to be led by founder/CEO Eric Beckman and president Dave Jesteadt. After making history with one of the highest-grossing horror films of the year, “Longlegs” director Osgood Perkins is at it again. In 1996, Erik and Lyle Menendez were convicted of murdering their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. A new documentary, and also Ryan Murphy’s second season of “Monster” centering around the brothers has renewed international interest in their case. It has been confirmed there will be a sequel to Dreamworks’ latest animated hit. HBO is in production on a new spin-off of the show “Game of Thrones,” based on the “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels by George R.R. Martin. Martin recently posted about a visit to the set. An expedition on Mount Everest led by National Geographic has returned some interesting findings. The climbers are pretty sure they found the partial remains of Andrew “Sandy” Irvine, a British mountaineer who may have been one of the first people to reach the summit in 1924. The expedition found a foot inside a sock embroidered with “AC Irvine” and a boot. This appendage and clothing may belong to 22-year-old Irvine, who disappeared on June 8, 1924.
