Netflix just won a bidding war over Dan Brown’s yet-to-be-released novel “The Secret of Secrets.” The streamer will be turning the upcoming book into a currently untitled series. This new series will have Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “Locke and Key”) as showrunner. “The Secret of Secrets” is the 6th book in Brown’s series centered around Harvard professor of symbology, Robert Langdon. Graduates of the University of Maryland will get a rare treat on May 22nd, a commencement speech by a frog. But not just any ol’ frog, no, this address is being given by “The Muppets”’ own Kermit the Frog. You know how some fans of deceased performers visit their graves to pay respects or leave a small gift? Well, there are some people who like to watch the world burn and vandalize these same resting places. Paris police have uncovered a bust of The Doors frontman Jim Morrison that was stolen from his grave in 1988. Officers found the bust during an unrelated investigation by a financial anti-corruption unit. Well, buckle up because Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to “Sesame Street!” The partnership will have the streamer premiere new episodes and host the show’s expansive back catalog. New episodes will continue to air in the U.S. on local PBS stations, as well. So those without Netflix will not lose access; the streamer is just picking up the digital end of things. Acting icon James Earl Jones passed away last year, but his voice is being resurrected for a video game. Walt Disney Co. and Epic Games have partnered to bring Jones’ voice back as the legendary Darth Vader for “Fortnite.” As of May 16th, players can recruit and chat with the “Star Wars” villain in-game.
