Wizards of the Coast is celebrating the final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” with a new game! Wizards is releasing a version of the “Dungeons & Dragons” tabletop role-playing game called “Stranger Things: Welcome to the Hellfire Club.” Allowing players to go on Eddie Munson’s in-game adventures.

“Welcome to the Hellfire Club,” will give fans “the opportunity to experience Eddie Munson’s secret trove of adventures at the Hawkins High Hellfire Club, which will really be a special experience for fans and give them an opportunity to form their own Hellfire Clubs,” says Justice Arman, Managing Game Designer at Wizards of the Coast. “There is a faux-nostalgia aspect with specially crafted components that lean into the look and feel of the show, modern ’80s trends, and Eddie’s love for rock music.”

Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) is a “Stranger Things” fan favorite character that is the Dungeon Master of Hawkins High’s Dungeons & Dragons group, the Hellfire Club. The only thing Eddie loves as much as gaming is metal, giving a performance of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” that went viral. Causing the tune to hit the Billboard top 100 for the first time, 36 years after it was released.

“Stranger Things: Welcome to the Hellfire Club”

“Welcome to the Hellfire Club” will have four adventures that each connect to the first four seasons of the show. It includes creatures such as Demobats and Demodogs, with a promised “one brand-new member of the Stranger Things monster family.” These adventures were designed in collaboration with Netflix and the “Stranger Things” team, including the creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

“D&D has played a role in Stranger Things since the first season, so there’s always been a connection between Wizards of the Coast and the Netflix series,” says Arman. “Now, as we look forward to the debut of the fifth and final season, Stranger Things: Welcome to the Hellfire Club builds on that history with a celebration of D&D, Stranger Things, and our favorite heavy-metal Dungeon Master, Eddie Munson.”

The game includes four D&D-style adventures; a welcome letter from Eddie; a quick-start guide; pre-generated character sheets for five characters across three levels of play; character and monster tokens; and cards for magic items, monsters, and spells.

Each of the adventures will have an individual poster-sized map and handout. Along with a double-sided poster of “Greyhawkins,” Eddie’s designed realm from the show.

“Stranger Things: Welcome to the Hellfire Club” launches on October 7th. “Stranger Things” 5th season will hit Netflix on November 26th.
