Horror icon Doug Bradley is set to star in a new film, “Thorns.” Written and directed by Michigan’s own Douglas Schulze (“Mimesis”), has been developing the project for two years. “Thorns” is an apocalyptic horror film about a former priest working for NASA. He is sent to investigate a remote observatory that went silent after receiving a mysterious radio signal from deep space. When the priest arrives he discovers the signal opened up a portal letting a thorned monster on the loose. He must now summon all his lost faith to stop the signal from starting a world ending chain…

Earlier this month pop sensation Backstreet Boys filmed “A Very Backstreet Holiday” in Los Angeles. M. Night Shyamalan’s next written and directed horror movie “Knock at the Cabin” has just received an R-rating by the MPA (Motion Picture Association) for violence and language. This is surprising, since Shyamalan hasn’t made an R-rated horror film since 2008’s “The Happening.” His other forays into gene- “The Sixth Sense,” “Signs,” “The Village,” “Split,” “The Visit,” and “Old”- are all rated PG or PG-13. Universal Pictures has blessed us with a second trailer for their new doll horror movie “M3gan” and it’s just as unhinged as the first. While producer Jame Wan’s “Annabelle” horror franchise relies on demonic possession to make the doll creepy. “M3gan” is a shiny 21st-century update that uses tech to fuel the doll’s killing spree. The film centers around M3GAN (played by Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis), a lifelike doll and a marvel of artificial intelligence. Celine Dion has postponed her Courage tour in light of being diagnosed with a rare neurological condition. The disorder is called Stiff Person Syndrome and it affects one in a million people. According to Yale medicine, the main symptoms of Stiff Person Syndrome are “muscle stiffening in the torso and limbs, along with episodes of violent muscle spasms.” While the cause is still unknown, some speculate it may be due to an autoimmune reaction. Earlier this year, Ice Cube revealed he had written two more entries for the “Friday” movie franchise. Warner Bros. Pictures apparently rejected both scripts. Set in the 1950s in a fictional American town during a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention, the event is meant to bring students and parents from across the country together.
