According to organizers, Vera Drew the director and star of “The People’s Joker” pulled the movie from the Toronto Film Festival lineup. This cancels all other scheduled screenings during the film festival as well. “The People’s Joker” is the Chicago-born, Los Angeles-based Drew’s first feature film. Actor Jacob Lofland (“Maze Runner”) has reportedly joined the cast of “Joker: Folie à Deux.” In this follow-up to the 2019 smash hit “Joker,” Lofland stars alongside Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson (“Mr. Mercedes“), and Catherine Keener (“Brand New Cherry Flavor”), as well as returning cast members Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck/Joker and Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond. Comedian and filmmaker Adam Sandler has announced an upcoming 15-city comedy tour with surprise guest(s). It’ll kick off on October 21st in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
