The deep cuts in HBO Max’s programming is believed to be a cost-saving measure due to the recent merger of Warner Bros and Discovery. Many thought due to Adult Swim’s wild popularity the more adult-oriented cartoons would remain on the platform. Director Brandon Cronenberg’s (“Antiviral,” “Possessor”) new sci-fi film “Infinity Pool” has been given an NC-17 rating by the MPA. The new movie stars Mia Goth (“Pearl”) and Alexander Skarsgård (“The Northman”). Skarsgård is also attached to executive produce the upcoming feature.  “Infinity Pool” is a joint venture between NEON and Topic Studios. It appears NEON is intending to try to appeal the decision with the Classification & Ratings Administration (CARA), which is an independent division of the MPA. NASA’s James Webb telescope recently captured the rings of Neptune for the first time in over 30 years. The telescope also used infrared instruments to create the clearest images of the planet to date. The last time Neptune was observed in such great detail was 1989 when the Voyager 2 probe flew past it. It showed several bright, narrow rings, but the Webb image clearly shows Neptune’s fainter dust bands. Controversial comedian Roseanne Barr has a new stand-up special coming to Fox News’ streaming platform, Fox Nation. The one-hour special, “A Roseanne Comedy Special,” promises that no subject will be “off limits.” This will be Barr’s first major project since the reboot of groundbreaking ABC sitcom “Roseanne” in 2018. The original series ran from 1988 to 1997, and focused on the struggles of a working class family, often taking elements from Barr’s own life. Just when we thought healthy coke was the yuckiest food trend on TikTok, wait until you hear about #SleepyChicken. A food challenge so dangerous the FDA has had to step in issue an official warning about it.  It seems the #SleepyChickenChallenge started in mid-January but is making the rounds again. The trend comes from a TikTok showing a man preparing to cook some chicken breasts in NyQuil, an over the counter flu medication. Toy manufacturer Mattel has released their 2022 Día de los Muertos Barbie and Ken dolls. The new dolls are a part of a broader initiative to make Barbie more inclusive. In 2015, Mattel added curvy, tall, and petite body types to the iconic toy line. Two years later, Ken got an update too with more diverse body types and features, which included cornrows and freckles. In 2019, Barbie added dolls with permanent physical disabilities, including a doll with a wheelchair and another with a prosthetic leg. Filmmaker Woody Allen has clarified comments he recently made which led many to believe he was retiring following his next film. While promoting “Wasp 22,” which is currently filming in Europe, Allen gave an interview. During this chat, he reportedly said “My idea, in principle, is not to make more movies and focus on writing.” He also made comments about his next project being another novel.  This isn’t the first time Allen has discussed leaving the director’s chair behind. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively may be giving us clues for “Deadpool 3” in their recent pregnancy announcement. This will be the couple’s fourth child together. Included in the announcement, which Lively posted to Instagram, was an admonishment to paparazzi “hanging around my house” who “freak my kids out.” She continued, by thanking media outlets who have a “no kids policy” for their photo coverage.
