Hi, I’m Ada. I like long walks in the graveyard, horror movies, comic books, and bringing you the latest in nerd-centric news.

While comedian Jerry Seinfeld may have become famous for making a show about nothing, his next project will have him tackling the creation of one of the most important inventions ever; Pop-Tarts. A collaboration with Netflix, “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story” tells the tale behind the legendary breakfast treat. And we have our first look at the main cast from it! The film is set in Michigan in 1963, just a year before Pop-Tarts hit store shelves. It will center around the bitter rivalry between Kellogg’s and Post, as they race to create a pastry that will change the face of breakfast…

Back in 2023, we reported Joel and Ethan Coen would be reuniting to make their first film together since 2018’s “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.” At the time, the duo was being tight-lipped about any details, but now Ethan has given us a few breadcrumbs.  Ethan was leading a Master Class hosted by the Tromso International Film Festival in Norway last week. He was speaking alongside his “Drive Away Dolls” co-director/writer Tricia Cooke, and film critic Kaleem Aftab. During the event, Ethan confirmed the brothers already had a script written, and plan to begin shooting soon.  Despite rumors the project…

We’ve already seen SyFy’s “Channel Zero” which ran for several seasons, each focusing on a different tale. Not to mention the countless films, games, stories, and artwork dedicated to the genre staple Slenderman. Now the latest internet craze “The Backrooms,” is getting its very own adaptation. A24 is teaming up with Kane Parsons, owner of the YouTube channel Kane Pixels, for a feature-length film based on the ominous creepypasta. Universal Pictures has just released the first official trailer for the new action thriller “Monkey Man.” This will be the directorial debut of lead actor Dev Patel (“The Green Knight”), who also wrote the script. Hot wings and booze are like peanut butter and jelly or spaghetti and meatballs, they just go together. So of COURSE someone is finally combining the two for a…questionable…flavor. Just in time for the Super Bowl, Hard seltzer brand Truly is planning to capitalize on this winning combination with a new limited-edition hot wing flavor. Truly promises to meet “football fans’ favorite finger food all in one convenient package – no napkins required.” To be fair, in this economy, no longer needing a boatload of napkins to supply a BBQ is a huge selling point. “We’re all about keeping it…

From being extras in 1992’s “Field of Dreams” to their breakout hit “Good Will Hunting” in 1997, and their most recent project “Air,” the duo certainly love collaborating. They’re at it again with the upcoming crime thriller “Animals” for Netflix. Up until recently, “Animals” has been a fairly secretive project kicking around Hollywood under a few different names like “The Animals of Los Angeles” and “Be Gentlemen.” The film is set to start shooting in Los Angeles in March with Affleck directing and Damon to star. Connor McIntyre…

Some celebrities have very similar names like athlete Michael Jordan and actor Michael B. Jordan or musician Tommy Lee and actor Tommy Lee Jones. Of course, this can lead to a lot of confusion and potentially mis-crediting the wrong person. Well, someone in British actor Tom Hollander (“Pirates of the Caribbean,” “The White Lotus”) and fellow Brit Tom Holland’s (“Spider-Man”) agency accidentally sent Hollander a check meant for Holland. “People in the accounts’ department of my agency got confused,” explained Hollander during a interview on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” “We were with the same agents…briefly. And it was a…

Music publication Pitchfork has dominated the online community for almost three decades, earning the title of “the most trusted voice in music.” In a move that has us frankly baffled, it is being merged into men’s interests mag GQ, which is one of Condé Nast’s various publications. We don’t think anyone had this merger on their 2024 bingo cards.  The choice for this merger came after “a careful evaluation of Pitchfork’s performance.” Condé Nast chief content officer Anna Wintour called it “the best path forward for the brand so that our coverage of music can continue to thrive within the…
