Over Memorial Day weekend, the Cabot Theater in Beverly, Massachusetts held a special screening of the 1975 classic “Jaws.” What made the screening so special was Richard Dreyfuss, who played Hooper in the film, would be doing a Q&A. Things didn’t go as planned, as the highly decorated actor said some things during the appearance that prompted several people to walk out, and the Cabot Theater to issue an apology.  According to members of the audience, the “Mr. Holland’s Opus” star went on a “transphobic, homophobic [and] misogynistic” rant. He badly touched on the #MeToo movement, “Nuts” co-star Barbara Streisand…

A clip of a rather strange court proceeding is going viral this week. Michigan resident Corey Harris attended a court hearing via Zoom regarding his suspended driver’s license. The issue? He was clearly driving a car on the call! The clip originates from a live-streamed court session from May 15th. The video shows an assistant public defender letting Judge J Cedric Simpson, know that her client “should be present via Zoom.” Soon after, Harris pops up and you can clearly see the interior of his car and a seatbelt across his chest. Last year, “The Exorcist: Believer” directed by David Gordon Green (“Halloween Ends”) opened to pretty negative critical response. Not long after, Green left the planned reboot trilogy he signed on to do with Blumhouse. It has now been confirmed that Mike Flanagan (“The Fall of the House of Usher”) will write, direct, and produce the next installment of the iconic horror franchise.  Flanagan’s Take on “The Exorcist” Blumhouse describes Flanagan’s film as a “radical new take” on the franchise. There is no denying “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” were 2023’s biggest films. They raked in $1.44 billion and $951 million respectively at the box office, giving rise to the Barbenheimer phenomenon. In a recent interview, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said the films would have been “just as big” on streaming. This interview comes hot on the heels of film chairman Scott Stuber’s exit from the company in March. This has led to speculation that Netflix will be drastically changing its content strategy, with most assuming it will produce fewer movies to focus on higher-quality content. But Sarandos has been quick to…

There is no denying the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is on the rise, and probably to stay. While some fear if it becomes too advanced, it could replace humans. In a recent thread on X (formally Twitter), writer at Infinite Scroll Jeremiah Johnson complied some of Google AI’s wonky search results. The answers range from laughably incorrect to downright dangerous. (And absolutely disgusting, like this one about cockroaches and the human urethra.) The Silly When a user…
