HBO is ramping up for the second season of their hit series “The Last of Us” with another exciting cast announcement. Oscar nominee Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction,” “The Batman“) has officially been cast as Isaac in the upcoming season! Isaac character he originally voiced in the video game “The Last of Us Part II.”

Based on the Naughty Dog video game series of the same name, “The Last of Us” takes place 20 years after the fall of modern civilization. After a fungus turns much of humanity into crazed, zombie-like, creatures.
The story centers around Joel (Pedro Pascal), a world-weary survivor, that is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie (Bella Ramsey), out of a quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey. The pair has to traverse the dangerous remains of the US while learning to depend on each other for survival.
